Common Questions

How do I get started with Prompt Repo?

Getting started is easy! Simply sign up for a free account, add your OpenRouter API key in Settings, and create your first prompt. Check out our documentation for a detailed guide.

Do I need my own OpenRouter API key?

Yes, you'll need an OpenRouter API key to test prompts and run experiments. You can get one for free at openrouter.ai. Your key is encrypted and stored securely.

What's the difference between Free and Pro plans?

The Free plan includes up to 5 prompts with full version history. The Pro plan (€7.99/month) includes unlimited prompts and team collaboration features. Both plans include prompt testing and experiments. See our pricing page for details.

How does the 14-day free trial work?

New users can try the Pro plan free for 14 days. You'll need to provide a payment method, but you won't be charged until after the trial period. You can cancel anytime during the trial without being charged.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account will automatically downgrade to the Free plan.

How do teams work?

Teams are available on the Pro plan. Team owners can invite members, and all team members can collaborate on shared prompts and experiments. Teams can have their own API key for shared usage. Learn more in our documentation.

Is my data secure?

Yes, security is a top priority. API keys are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption before storage. We use secure authentication, HTTPS for all communications, and follow industry best practices for data protection. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What happens if I delete my account?

Account deletion is a "soft delete" - your account is marked as deleted but can be reactivated by logging in again. Your encrypted API keys are removed, but prompts and data may be retained for team collaboration purposes. You must cancel any active subscription before deleting your account.

Can I export my prompts?

Currently, you can view and copy your prompts directly from the interface. We're working on bulk export features. If you need to export a large number of prompts, please contact support and we can help.

Which LLM models are supported?

Prompt Repo works with any model available through OpenRouter, including OpenAI's GPT series, Anthropic's Claude series, Google's Gemini series, Meta's Llama series, and many others. The available models depend on what OpenRouter offers. You can test prompts against multiple models simultaneously in experiments.
